Thinkshift Communications has earned a spot on Inc. magazine’s Best in Business 2023 list in the Public Relations category, which recognizes companies that help brands craft messaging, communicate with the public and their customers, and gain media coverage while making the biggest impact on their communities, their industries, the environment, or society as a whole.
Eric Hagerman, special projects editor at Inc., said, “Being named to the Best in Business list is a rare and special honor. These honorees demonstrate the foresight, caring, and dedication to prioritize positive impact—impact on their community, on their industry and the environment, and even on society as a whole.”
Inc. recognized Thinkshift’s success in accelerating clients that are tackling systemic challenges like the racial and gender wealth gaps and the need for clean energy in low-income communities. The agency does that through thought leadership, media outreach and other brand-building programs that deliver measurable outcomes.
The award also reflects Thinkshift’s commitment to modeling sustainable business in its own operations: Among other initiatives, the B Corporation supports San Francisco Baykeeper through 1% for the Planet and this year upgraded to a more rigorous carbon offset provider, offsetting 100% of its emissions.
“Thinkshift has worked exclusively with impact enterprises for the past ten years, and that has inspired us to continually develop new strategies and approaches to get our clients the recognition they deserve,” said Sandra Stewart, Thinkshift principal. “The Inc. award honors our team’s dedication to building the impact field, supporting organizations that are tackling big problems, and challenging ourselves to always do better.”
