We are proud to welcome another great organization to our roster of sustainable seafood clients: SeaWeb. This nonprofit “transforms knowledge into action by shining a spotlight on workable, science-based solutions to the most serious threats facing the ocean.” To this end, it produces the annual Seafood Summit conference along with the Seafood Champion Awards, which recognize outstanding leadership in promoting environmental responsibility for seafood.
Thinkshift is working with SeaWeb to create a communications strategy, develop a thought leadership program, and promote the conference and Seafood Champions Awards program. It’s an exciting time for SeaWeb, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and recently sealed a partnership agreement with longtime collaborator The Ocean Foundation.
This year’s Seafood Summit is coming up fast—it will be held Feb. 1–3 in Malta, but registration is open if you want to attend! Topics include supply chains, financing, market perceptions, fishery management, aquaculture, traceability and more.
