We’re a Certified B Corporation. We became a B Corp in 2010, certifying that we meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance. (Here’s our impact rating.) In 2018 and 2019 we earned a place on the B Corp Best for the World list in governance. In January 2012, we baked sustainability and accountability into our corporate structure by becoming one of California’s first benefit corporations. Read why we’re a B.
We promote sustainable business. We’re active in building the B Corp movement, and we advocate for sustainable business initiatives as a member of the American Sustainable Business Network and through other organizations. It’s a high priority to support businesses that share our values, giving preference to B Corps, local sustainable businesses and BIPOC-led companies as partners and vendors.
We give back. Thinkshift is a member of 1% for the Planet, a global network of companies that donate 1% of their revenue to environmental organizations. And we can’t resist a good cause, so we also volunteer and take on pro bono projects. (Details are in our community service policy.)
We keep our carbon footprint as small as possible. We continually ratchet down our resource use, ride public transportation and so on. And we offset our unavoidable emissions through fellow B Corp Offset Alliance, which funds verified carbon reduction initiatives.
